War in Ukraine

I highly criticize the Biden Administration for initially (and I still think currently) being willing to sacrifice at least a portion of Ukraine to appease Putin.  Once again our leaders have failed to learn from history that the more you appease a dictator the more you embolden that dictator to continue further conquest.   They also have failed to learn from two World Wars in Europe that no matter how much we want to stay out of "Europe's Wars," it will only be a matter of time before we get dragged into them—at a much larger cost to life and treasure!  Basic military strategy teaches that it is much easier to defend territory than to retake it.  So if we are going to get dragged into a war anyway, shouldn't we be fighting it on our terms instead of constantly ceding the initiative to Putin?!

Although I am glad the Biden administration is providing at least some military support to Ukraine (which I honestly believe is way more than Trump would have done—in fact I think Trump would have been helping Russia in order to get revenge on Zelenskyy for not submitting to his pressure to dig up dirt on Hunter Biden), I still have to condemn Biden's current strategy of giving Ukraine just enough weapons to bring about a stalemate and get Putin to the bargaining table.  I also condemn the Biden administration's restrictions on using provided weaponry against targets inside Russia – from where the Russian missiles are being launched against Ukrainian civilian targets and infrastructure!  Once again, we are not playing to win.  This war should have been over by now with a victorious Ukraine.  The only negotiations Ukraine should be having with Russia is the on the full withdrawal of Russian troops from all occupied Ukrainian territory, the arrest of Vladimir Putin for war crimes, and payment by Russia for reparations for the death and destruction they perpetrated upon Ukraine!

The longer we let this war drag on, not only does Putin become more emboldened, but so do the other homicidal, megalomaniacal, and hegemonic dictators around the world, especially those with nuclear weapons, who are carefully watching how this plays out.  The message we are sending them is, "As long as you threaten to use your nuclear weapons, there is an awful lot we are going to let you get away with."  Note that I purposely used the word "awful" because what we are letting Putin and those like him get away with these days is absolutely awful!  So I have to ask the Biden Administration, "Since you were willing to give away Ukraine's freedom to appease Putin, when will you rationalize giving our freedom away??"  I'm thinking that China probably holds the answer to that question.
